A True Reflection? Displays, Stories and Exhibitions

Join us for SHCG’s 2018 conference: A True Reflection? Displays, Stories and Exhibitions on Thursday 19th July at Beamish: The Living Museum of the North and Friday 20th July at The Great North Museum: Hancock.

This year’s conference includes interactive workshops, tours and presentations on a wide range of themes including interpretation and community engagement.

Conference is a great opportunity to hear about the experiences and learning from a range of institutions across the country, to take part in valuable knowledge building workshops, and to have the opportunity to network with others in the sector.

This year the programme includes a visit to Beamish, evening drinks reception and interactive workshops. For those that want to extend their stay we will also be going on a visit to the Great Exhibition of the North on the Saturday morning.

This year North East Museum Development will fund one free place at the SHCG Conference for a first time delegate from the North East region. Please complete the form below and email to conferenceshcg@gmail.com

Anyone who is attending on Thursday can catch the coach at approx. 8-8:30am from New Bridge Street Student Accommodation
