The V&A's collections cover a vast number of design styles, from the Romanesque art and architecture of the Middle Ages, to the 20th century's radical Postmodernism. This website is a useful starting point in design styles and explores the trends, themes and revolutions in design over the centuries in the following eras: medieval and renaissance; 17th; 18th; 19th and 20th centuries.
