This film was produced as part of the ACE funded firstBASE project 'Tools for the Trade'. Many trades within a community were reliant on the Blacksmith's ability to make and repair tools and as such it was a vital role. This film examines the tools the Blacksmith used, such as the anvil, hammer, tongs and bellows and how to identify and date them. All the films can be viewed on SHCG's youtube channel.
