Resource verified by SHCG editorial group

Host: North West Film Archive

Notes:

This film by Sam Hanna presents a record of work on the sheep farm of Bob Hargreaves in Barley, Lancashire, at springtime. Sheep and new-born lambs in a field are watched over by the farmer on his horse, and two women are shown holding a lamb. Sheep are hand-sheared and marked and their fleeces are rolled, collected and loaded onto the back of a truck. Finally, the sheep are herded into a pen and dipped. Also contains shots of a woman riding a horse down a farm track and through the farmyard.
