Notes:
Film made by Sam Hanna following the work of a Mr Harrison, described as "the last professional stone waller in this part of Lancashire". He is seen building a dry stone wall on the moors near Burnley; breaking stone with a walling hammer, selecting and placing stones in the wall by hand. Includes a brief shot of a young man climbing over a stile created by "through stones" and sheep going through a purpose-built hole in a wall. The film ends with panning shots of a hillside criss-crossed by dry stone walls.
