Notes:

Film by Sam Hanna showing a hay creel (a device used to carry large amounts of hay) being hand-made by a rope maker at W.R.Outhwaite in Hawes, Yorkshire. The rope maker is seen constructing the hay creel using curved lengths of hazel wood and bound with pieces of twine creating a large mesh effect. There are shots of hay creels being used in fields in Yorkshire and Pendle Hill, Lancashire.
