Includes material from the British Empire Exhibition opened in 1924. The Image and Photograph Catalogue gives access to digitised images in Brent Archive’s collections, including photographs, old postcards, prints and drawings, watercolours, book and magazine illustrations, newspaper advertisements and modern digital pictures.The vast majority of the images relate to the Borough of Brent, but the database also contains photos of Irish London taken by Paddy Fahey. Brent Archive holds historical documents, some of which date back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Documents demonstrate how the London Borough of Brent has changed and developed over time. Collections include maps and letters, local diaries, parish registers, electoral registers, census returns and local newspapers. Brent Museum's collections reflect working and domestic life in the London Borough of Brent from the mid-nineteenth century to the present day. The collection is comprised over 10,000 artefacts relating to the borough, and also includes video and oral history recordings.
