Perhaps the best preserved Georgian textile mill in Britain. Built in 1799 by Thomas Fox it produced woollens and worsteds until 1980. Includes a large collection of working machines such as worsted combing machines, worsted drawing, spinning & twisting machines, Hattersley power looms, 1910, Pollit & Wigzell 300hp steam engine. This collection is of national importance.
