Join SHCG committee! Nominations now open

Are you an early or mid-career professional working in a museum or heritage site? Are you looking to enhance your skills or find new opportunities to do something different?

SHCG is looking for a Chair Elect and four new Ordinary Trustees this year:  Conference Organiser x 2, Seminar Organiser and Membership Secretary. 

You do not have to be a social history curator to be a member or Trustee of SHCG! We welcome anyone working with social history in museums. All you need for a role on committee is solid organisational and communication skills, an eye for detail and bags of initiative and enthusiasm! For full role descriptions please visit our Committee page.  You will also need to attend 3 committee meetings per year (travel expenses are reimbursed) plus SHCG's AGM.

Ordinary trustees serve two years and can have various roles which are assigned at the first meeting after the AGM. The Chair Elect serves for three years: one year as Chair Elect and two years as Chair.

Monday 20th April - Nominations open 

Friday 5th June, 5pm - Nominations close 

Wednesday 10th June - Online voting opens  

Wednesday 24th June, 5pm - Voting closes 

Thursday 25th June, 4pm - New trustees announced during the online AGM
