SHCG protests against budget cuts to social history museums

In light of the increasing threat to museums posed by yet more governmental budget cuts, the Social History Curators Group committee decided to write a letter to Sajid Javid, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, expressing our concern at the future for social history museums.

We all know that museums are facing significant cuts in their budgets, making it harder for them to continue their fantastic work of engaging and inspiring their audiences. But we wanted to make sure politicians are aware of the impact their cuts will make on the services we provide.
