SHCG Conference 2013

Thursday 27th June, 2013 to Friday 28th June, 2013

Local Stories, Global Identities
Ulster Museum and Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Cultra.

This conference will consider how Museums should define ‘local history’ in a global society, and will explore topics such as how museums can interpret and create a shared perception of local histories where diverse communities hold different values and beliefs.

The programme consists of a mixture of short papers, debate, discussion sessions and workshops as well as tours of exhibitions and galleries at both venues.

SHCG Conference offers great value and is a great way to contribute to professional development at all levels of the sector.
By attending delegates will:
• Contribute to strategic discussions about the role and status of Social History within the sector
• Be inspired to try new ways of working and implement ideas
• Make useful contacts and build their support networks
• Have a chance to reflect on and review their own role and practices, as well as those of colleagues.

Anyone booking before 30th April will receive a 10% discount on the full booking fee.

As always, there are two free places available to delegates that have never attended SHCG Conference before. You can find out more details here.
